Accelerated Free-fall (AFF)
The fast track to learning how to skydive. You will learn to exit the plane, remain aware of altitude, free fall in a stable position, preform maneuvers, deploy from a stable position at the right time, assess and react to an emergency, fly your canopy, and land safely. You learn these skills over a series of 7 specific jumps with an instructor (or two) beside you and coaching you every step of the way, all from 12000 feet.
IAD stands for "Instructor-Assisted Deployment"
A method of training where the instructor initiates deployment of the student's parachute when the student exits from the plane. This is a tried and true, stair step method of instruction that has been used in the skydiving industry for years.
